Asylum Seekers in Sydney

ASYLUM SEEKERS in SYDNEY
Asylum seekers in Sydney can’t return home as they’ll be persecuted because of their:
·                race
·                religion
·                political opinion
·                nationality, or
·                belonging to a particular social group

They are applying for Australia’s protection and, until that happens and they are permanent residents, these people and their families need help live in Sydney to have security, safety and practical care.

Seeking asylum is a human right. People seeking asylum have commonly fled conflict, persecution and extreme trauma to seek peace and security.
